As a tribute to photojournalist Benoît Schaeffer who passed away in 2020, La Saif has a grant program for the publication of photography books. The grant is designed to support and highlight the work of a professional press or documentary photographer, and provide backing needed to publish a printed book.

The competition is open to French or foreign candidates residing in France and presenting a publication project in association with a publishing house.

The grant is sponsored by La SAIF.
