A retrospective of current events on a giant screen

The Visa pour l’Image evening screenings cover the main events of the previous twelve months. Each evening, the screening begins with a chronological review of the main news stories, two months at a time. This is followed by reports and features on social issues and conflicts, stories that have made the news and others that have had less coverage, plus reports on the state of the world today. The screenings also include retrospectives of major events and figures. The various Visa pour l'Image awards are also presented during the screenings.

Photographs from the 2025 edition

Every year, Visa pour l'Image brings together the world's leading photojournalists. This selection of images reflects the diversity of their work: current events seen from the ground, personal accounts, silent struggles, and expressions of hope.

These photographs, from the exhibitions presented at the festival, embody the primary mission of Visa pour l'Image: to show the world as it is, in all its complexity, beauty and fragility.
Each of them bears the trace of a commitment, that of women and men who, often at the risk of their lives, document our times and give voice to those who are not heard.

This gallery offers a glimpse of the diverse, committed approach that makes the festival so rich: from war reporting to social documentaries, from environmental crises to cultural mutations, these images are a reminder of the power of photojournalism to enlighten, question and move.
