About the exhibition
The fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in December 2024 marked a historic turning point, bringing an end to over half a century of Assad family rule. Salwan Georges traveled to Syria in 2024 and 2025, chronicling the early days of a changed country, the devastation left in Assad’s wake, but also the resilience of the Syrian people as they face an uncertain future.
