About the exhibition
Tyler Hicks / The New York Times
Under siege by the Russian army in eastern Ukraine, Kostiantynivka is facing an acute humanitarian crisis. Relentless aerial bombardments, drones, and artillery strikes are reducing the city to ashes. The last remaining residents risk their lives every time they venture out to gather wood or to find something to eat. Using drones, the Russian forces indiscriminately target civilians, volunteers and soldiers, killing on sight.
