About the exhibition

On February 28, 2026, for the second time in a year, Iran was plunged into another war. Airstrikes by Israël and the United States set the Middle East ablaze. For the people of Teheran, already worn down by the “Twelve-Day War” and the bloody crackdown on the January protests, this new ordeal unfolded behind closed doors. Access to internet was blocked, and only internet connections obtained at exorbitant costs allowed them to stay connected to the rest of the world. These photographs capture the uncertainty of a whole nation. While the future remains impossible to predict, the Iranian people continue to be caught between war, repression and hope.
