About the exhibition
In 2025, Thailand attacked Cambodia, and has now annexed a strip of its territory. Its artillery has seriously damaged several Angkorian heritage sites, including the Preah Vihear temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The border dispute between the two countries is not new, but this time the fighting was particularly fierce, despite the imbalance in military strength between the two countries. This complex crisis has left many dead and displaced thousands of families. It has a particular resonance in Cambodia, where each family still mourns those who died in past conflicts. Fifty years after the start of the genocide by the Khmer Rouge, the wounds have not healed.
