About the exhibition

The biggest contingent of unaccompanied minors in France today is from Guinea. This exhibition tells the story of young Guineans as they travel from Conakry to Paris, via Tunisia and the Alps. Given the economic crisis and the mass unemployment in Guinea, many young people, both in the neighbourhoods of Conakry and in the inland regions, see exile as their only option. The report follows these young people as they leave home and cross borders. Often invisible, they have to overcome significant hardship, but they are driven by the same goal: to study, work and build a future in Europe.
